TRIPS WHICH WE LIKE

On Foot:

  • Warming-up: follow the yellow-marked path to Zrcadlovky, Černá hora, Kolínská chalet and Černý Důl.
  • Sněžka: by bus (in the morning) to Pec pod Sněžkou and on foot or by chair lift to Sněžka or by bus to Pomezní Boudy and on foot along Obří hřeben (giant ridge) to Sněžka. Then Slezská chalet, Luční chalet, Výrovka, cottage Na Rozcestí and Černý Důl.
  • Planiny: by bus to Špindlerův Mlýn and on foot or by chair  to the chalet Na Pláni, Klínové chalets, cottage Na Rozcestí, Černý Důl.

Cross-country Skiing:

  • Warming-up: chalet Mír, Tetřeví chalets, Rejdiště, Böhnischovy chalets and Černý Důl.
  • A nice view: Hoffman´s chalet, Zrcadlovky, Černá hora, Kolínská chalet and Černý Důl.
  • Čistecký Bolkov: Na Bolkovské pasece, Hoffman´s chalet, Večerní červánky, Svoboda nad Úpou, Janské Lázně and Černý Důl.
  • From Strážné: Vrchlabí (by bus), Strážné, Hříběcí chalets, cottage Na Rozcestí and Černý Důl.
  • Across Pláně: Špindlerův Mlýn (by bus), Klínové chalets, cottage Na Rozcestí, Černý Důl.
  • Sněžka: Pec pod Sněžkou (by bus), Sněžka (by chair lift), Luční chalet, cott. Na Rozcestí and Černý Důl.

BY BIKE (on most of the following trains you can usually travel with your bike):

  • Warming-up: follow the yellow or the blue-marked path to Rejdiště, along the forest road, Hříběcí chalets, along the Klínový Creek to Dolní Důl, Horní Lánov, from Vápencový lom along the field road to Starý lom and Černý Důl.
  • Short distance: cycling path from Vápencový lom, Malá Sněžka, Fořt, Rudník, Javorník, along the road Mladé Buky, cycling path to Jánská hora, Hoffman´s chalets and Černý Důl.
  • Among the chalets: by car to Strážné, folow the cycling path to Špindlerův Mlýn, Horní Mísečky, Na rovince, Benecko, along the road to Hořejší Vrchlabí, by hitch-hike or by bus getting back your car in Strážné.
  • Podkrkonoší with possibilities of swimming: by car to Trutnov, follow the cycling path to Peklo, Vlčice, along the road Dolní Staré Buky, through the meadows to Dolce (with nice swimming) and Trutnov.
  • Jestřebí mountains: by car to Trutnov, Lhota, Bezděkov, along the panel road follow the green-marked path (there are a lot of fortresses and mushrooms on the way), Paseky and further more along the ridge of Jestřebí mountains across Žaltman to Odolny, down to the nearest railway station between Rtyně and Malé Svatňovice, by train to Trutnov.
  • Babiččino údolí (Grandmother´s valley) – a wonderful trip, all the time down hill: by car to Trutnov, Starý Rokytník, Úpice, follow the river Úpa through Babička´s valley to Česká Skalice, by train to Trutnov.
  • Betlém, Kuks, Josefov – a lovely trip with a lot of interesting places, all the time down hill: by car to Bílá Třemešná, follow the green-marked path to the ridge, all the time along the ridgeway to nativity scene by Braun, castle Kuks, Jaroměř, Josefov (a wonderful fortress), Jaroměř, by train to Bílá Třemešná.
  • Rýchory: by cyclobus to Pomezní Boudy, Horní Lysečiny, Rýchorská Bouda, turn from yellow-marked path to Dolní Lysečiny, Horní Maršov, Modrokamenná chalet, Jánské lázně, Černý Důl.

GOOD SWIMMING:

Autocamp Čistá, the nearest place.  Trutnov-Dolce, a reservoirs.      Mostek, a swimming pool.

Sejfy Retropark, near Mladé Buky.    Dachovy, a retro swimming pool.   Velký Vřešťov, a pond.
